Zeiss Master Primes

Zeiss is widely known and respected for their superior lens quality, and their set of Master Primes is no exception. Developed together with ARRI, the incredibly fast lenses boast almost no focus breathing, exemplary resolution, nice contrast, full frame coverage, and aspherical elements designed specifically for low chromatic aberration. The maximum aperture of T1.3 is perfect for creating a shallow depth of field, or shooting in situations with low light.

The PL-mounted Zeiss Master Primes incorporate a built-in lens data system that communicates corresponding lens data to compatible cameras. The placement of the iris and focus rings is almost uniform across the whole set, making the positioning of a follow focus or zoom control easier. Further, almost all of the lenses in the set have a uniform diameter of 114mm, facilitating the use of filters, matte box adapters, etc.
